We will visit the renowned places as well as the less frequented and less famous ones. We drive through Wadi Rum in southern Jordan which is regarded by many as one of the most beautiful desert landscapes in the world. Sandstones and granite rocks make up this vast valley, the largest in the Hashemite kingdom. Wadi Rum has also been made famous by Lawrence of Arabia, who wrote his book "Seven Pillars of Wisdom" during his stay there. (It is also the site where the film "Lawrence of Arabia" was made). At the entrance to Wadi Rum there will be jeeps waiting for us to take us on a two hour ride more or less. The tour will start by visiting the Severn Pillars of Wisdom, and proceed towards the imposing landscape of the desert and the magnificent colors of the mountains, all of which are sure to be an outstanding experience for the group. We will have lunch in Wadi Rum. (Pending on weather conditions, lunch will be served either in a Bedouin encampment or in a local restaurant).
